πŸ” About

Leveling an army of toons in World of Warcraft's Dragonflight expansion is made easy by focusing on Nokhudon Hold ofOhn'ahran Plains. Although there was an alternative method previously available inCobalt Assembly , it has since been nerfed and is no longer an efficient option.

Experience granted by enemies associated with the Cobalt Assembly has been greatly reduced.

Developers' notes: From the start, the Cobalt Assembly was intended to be a max-level feature, and Sundered Flame enemies should not have granted significant amounts of XP. Having a max-level player kill enemies while in a party with lower-level players who stand around and do nothing but receive XP and reputation is not the sort of gameplay we wish to encourage. We've adjusted the XP rate, rather than removed it completely, to encourage players to level in more fun, interactive ways, while still leaving this as an option that is no longer the best option.

πŸ’Ό Preparation

🧍 Toons
If you have a large number of characters to level up, you can take advantage of the rested XP bonus by focusing on one character at a time. Spend all of the rested XP bonus on one character, then move him/her back to town before starting on the next character with rested XP. This allows you to maximize your leveling speed for your army of toons. If executed correctly, you can expect to gain the following amount of XP per hour in Nokhudon Hold:
  • with rested XP: ~750k XP / hour.
  • without rested XP: ~300k XP / hour.
πŸ₯˜ Consumables
To maximize your XP farm efficiency, consider using consumables such as healing potions to your advantage.

🌾 Farming XP

Once ready to start working on your alts, move them one by one to the Nokhudon Hold inOhn'ahran Plains:

βš”οΈ Deciding war mode
When it comes to toggling war mode on or off, there are two alternatives to consider. Your decision should be based on your server's faction balance. If one faction greatly outweighs the other, and you're attempting to farm with the underrepresented faction, it may be difficult to succeed. In such cases, it's recommended to turn off war mode if there are no friendly players from your faction around. This will help you avoid unnecessary PvP combat and make your farming experience smoother and more efficient.
🎯 Tagging mobs
Since you're likely to be lower level compared to the area, it may be difficult to kill the mobs on your own. Therefore, it's important to ensure there are enough people around to help you kill and farm the mobs. How you tag the mobs is also crucial. Depending on your class, you should use a ranged instant spell to tag them and let other players handle the rest. This will help you avoid unnecessary trouble and potential death, which can result in repair costs and loss of XP. Here are some examples of spells you can use to tag the mobs:

πŸ“Š Expected rates

To maximize your XP/hour rate, there are a few major factors to consider, such as your war mode status and rested XP. Based on our testing, the XP per kill rates are as follows:
  • war-mode: βœ”οΈ, rested xp: βœ”οΈ~4400 XP / kill.
  • war-mode: βœ”οΈ, rested xp: ❌~2200 XP / kill.
  • war-mode: ❌, rested xp: βœ”οΈ~3600 XP / kill.
  • war-mode: ❌, rested xp: ❌~1850 XP / kill.
  • party bonus: ~900 XP / kill.
If your XP/hour rate is below these rates, you may be experiencing issues with tagging, which you can try to optimize to improve your efficiency.

πŸ‘₯ To party or not

Joining a party can be beneficial if there are only a maximum of 4 people around to tag mobs with you, as you can get a party bonus of around 900 XP per kill. However, if there are more than 4 people around, it's best to stay solo and tag the mobs yourself to avoid getting a raid penalty of around 900 XP per kill.

πŸ”₯ Primal storms

Nokhudon Hold is also a known location for Primal storms. Once you run into one, you may see many people around killing the mobs. In that case it's best to stay solo and tag mobs fast. You will see increased XP gain rates.
